At Circuit Designs we believe that good Schematic Capture is just as important as the PCB Design itself. All the information to ensure a correct PCB layout should be incorporated in the Sch; if the sch is done correctly, the PCB will always be electrically correct.

Circuit Designs has built it's own, comprehensive set of sch libraries, to ensure sch parts are correct, and accurately match our own PCB libraries. We do not use the generic libraries, as these often do not complement the PCB libraries.

Further more, well laid out schs can greatly assist the quality of the final PCB layout. They need to follow logical sequences. Critical design areas (eg high gain analogue amplification) and all associated components need to be easily identified, so appropriate design considerations can be made.

To this end Circuit Designs prefers to draw / redraw sch in-house. This way we get a good knowledge of how the circuit comes together, helping to produce better PCB Designs. We are, however, happy to help out at ANY stage. We have customer that supply anything from rough hand drawn sketches, to customers that supply good quality complete sch databases.

At Circuit Designs we come from an Engineering background, so we make an effort to actually understand designs. This enables us to offer another, outside, verification of circuitry. Often we will find small omissions or inconsistencies. We may be able to suggest alternative components, or help in some other way.

Security of designs is always a concern in the electronics field. To this end we prefer not to become involved in actual hardware design, as this could constitute a conflict of interest. We will not discuss any other customer's work, or release ANY documentation, without first getting consent from our customer.
